JESUS CHRIST: THE MESSIAH

The Messiah-Savior of the World
Yea, even six hundred years from the time that my father left Jerusalem, a prophet would the Lord God raise up among the Jews—even a Messiah, or, in other words, a Savior of the world.
--I Nephi 10:4
Jesus was the Jehovah of the Old Testament. Prophets prophesied that He would come to the earth, and especially 600 years from the time Lehi and his family left Jerusalem to journey across the ocean to the Americas. Jesus was born. He was the Messiah as had been prophesied, even the Savior of the world. Beside Him, there is no other Savior. He brought about the infinite Atonement, the perfect Atonement, making Jesus the Great Atoner.

JESUS CHRIST: TESTIFIES TO SAMARITAN WOMAN

Jesus testifies “I that speak unto thee am he.”

The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things. Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.
--John 4:25-26
Jesus speaks with the Samaritan woman at Jacob’s well, and Jesus testifies of himself. She said that she knew that the Messiah would come, and that his name was called Christ. She knew things about Christ. She said that when He did come that He would tell them all things, that He was very knowledgeable. Lo, Jesus responded to the woman’s comments by saying, “I am He.” At first the woman found it hard to believe, but soon she realized that He was telling the truth, that the man she was speaking with was indeed Messiah, called the Christ.

Jesus, called Christ, is the Great Atoner, the Savior of the world. He is omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscient. He possesses unlimited power and has all knowledge, and by the power of the Holy Ghost He can be anywhere. He is the Father’s Only Begotten Son in the flesh. He worked out the infinite Atonement for the salvation of all.

JESUS CHRIST: LIGHT AND LIFE

The Bitter Cup
Jesus said, “And behold, I am the light and the life of the world; and I have drunk out of that bitter cup which the Father hath given me, and have glorified the Father in taking upon me the sins of the world, in the which I have suffered the will of the Father in all things from the beginning.”
--Book of Mormon 3 Nephi 11:11
Jesus is the light and life of all created beings and things. His light is within every individual soul, animal, planet, the sun, the moon, star, tree, all things that were created by the Father through Jesus Christ. Jesus drunk from the bitter cup; He suffered pain and agony in Gethsemane and on the cross to glorify the Father and to fulfill the Father’s plan of salvation and exaltation. Jesus took upon himself the sins of the world from ages past to eternities to come-no ending. His atonement was infinite and eternal. His influence extends in the past to no beginning and to the future to no ending. His life and atonement is unlimited and never-ending. He is the Great Atoner.

JESUS CHRIST: HIS NEVER-ENDING INFLUENCE

Mosiah 15:10-11
10 And now I say unto you, who shall declare his generation? Behold, I say unto you, that when his soul has been made an offering for sin he shall see his seed. And now what say ye? And who shall be his seed?

11 Behold I say unto you, that whosoever has heard the words of the prophets, yea, all the holy prophets who have prophesied concerning the coming of the Lord—I say unto you, that all those who have hearkened unto their words, and believed that the Lord would redeem his people, and have looked forward to that day for a remission of their sins, I say unto you, that these are his seed, or they are the heirs of the kingdom of God.
God the Eternal Father sacrificed His Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ, for all the sins of the world, and Jesus humbly and willingly accepted this sacrifice, the infinite and eternal sacrifice. He is the only one qualified to make such an never-ending sacrifice whose influence would stretch beyond no boundaries. Jesus is the Great Atoner, the Holy One of Israel. As we learn the Savior’s gospel and heed His teachings, we become His sons and daughters, His seed forever as long as we obey all His commandments. We become heirs of His kingdom everlasting. Eternal life is the greatest gift that God the Father can grant unto us as His children, for we are His spirit offspring, and Jesus is our Brother, for He too is a Son of God.

JESUS CHRIST: THE MESSIAH

II Nephi 2:6-7 (Book of Mormon)
6 Wherefore, redemption cometh in and through the Holy Messiah; for he is full of grace and truth.
7 Behold, he offereth himself a sacrifice for sin, to answer the ends of the law, unto all those who have a broken heart and a contrite spirit; and unto none else can the ends of the law be answered.
Redemption, freedom from sin and guilt, is possible because of Jesus Christ, the Holy Messiah. He is grace and truth. Grace is His divine assistance, His infinite power and ability to forgive sins and to have total knowledge of us and our concerns. He even known our thoughts, intentions, desires, and motives. He desires us to come unto him and find relief and comfort in Him.
Jesus sacrificed himself for our sins, for our human errors and ways. He knew that we couldn’t make it by ourselves; therefore, our Father designed a plan that would send a Savior to the earth to compensate for what we couldn’t do after all we could do for ourselves. We can repent with Godly sorrow, but it takes a Savior, a Redeemer, even the Messiah to make repentance and forgiveness complete. So God the Father sent His Only Begotten Son, Jesus, to be the Great Atoner. We must offer up to God a broken (repentant) heart, and a contrite (obedient) spirit. God and Christ will do for us what it is impossible for us to do alone.

JESUS CHRIST: OUR TOP PRIORITY

Jesus Christ
The Great Atoner
Colossians 1:12-14
12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
We need to thank the Father for all things, and acknowledge His hand in all things. He has delivered us from darkness and doubt and made His Only Begotten Son the Great Atoner. His Son, even Jesus the Christ, is forever our Savior and Redeemer. “Thou shalt have no other gods before me” is the commandment. Christ is first and foremost our top priority.
Redemption comes through Christ’s atoning blood that was shed for all.  He suffered, bled and died so that we might receive forgiving or pardoning of our sins and then granting us the blessing of life, even the abundant life.  He overcame death when He resurrected himself and won the victory over death and the grave. He alone is our Redeemer and Atoner to make reconciliation possible  to the Father.

“Jesus Christ possessed merits that no other child of Heavenly Father could possibly have. He was a God, Jehovah, before His birth in Bethlehem. His Father not only gave Him His spirit body, but Jesus was His Only Begotten Son in the flesh” (Richard G. Scott, April 1997 General Conference)

JESUS CHRIST: HE ATONED

Ephesians 1:7
We have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace.
We are redeemed through the shedded blood of Jesus Christ. His atoning blood gives Christ power to forgive us of our sins and imperfections. Jesus’ blood atoneth for us; we just need to apply the atoning blood of Christ into our lives through obedience to the commandments and ordinances in order for the power of the atonement to take effect in us; otherwise, we remain in our sins and fall short of the glory of God.
Jesus’ grace makes us feel rich. As we are forgiven of our sins, we become reconciled to God, and we feel peace. The peace of Christ makes us feel rich toward God, and growing rich toward God is the only true form of being rich, for herein we have potential to experience the riches of eternity in the Celestial Kingdom with Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, the Holy Ghost, family and friends. This is exaltation, living forever in the hereafter the life that God lives now. It is all possible because of the infinite blood atonement and sacrifice of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I know this is true.

Jesus Christ: Divine Son of God

Merry Christmas to all
For unto us is born this day...

Click and see:

Mosiah 18:2
Yea, concerning that which was to come, and also concerning the resurrection of the dead, and the redemption of the people, which was to be brought to pass through the power, and sufferings, and death of Christ, and his resurrection and ascension into heaven. (Approximately 148 BC)
The preceding passage of scripture was referenced about 148 BC, prior to the birth of Christ. Prophets prophesied of the coming of Christ. Christ would come to earth via birth through  Mary and the Power of God the Father. He would come as a divine Son of God. The atonement of Christ would take place through His power, sufferings, death, resurrection, and his ascending into heaven.  Jesus is The Great Atoner. In Christ, all will be resurrected and inherit their eternal destiny predicated upon the type of life they lived during mortality and in the spirit world. He holds all creations in His hands.
There is a place for everyone, good or bad, in God’s plan. The Lord’s plan of salvation is just and merciful; however, God will not be mocked. One cannot secretly sin and avoid the judgments of God. Sooner or later the sinner will account for his errors. He may not be judged by man in the flesh, but he will report to the eternal Judge, for God and Christ know all things.

Joseph Smith said, "This is the Gospel, the glad tidings…that He came into the world, even Jesus, to be crucified for the world, and to bear the sins of the world."

Christ Atoned for Our Sins

Atonement of Jesus Christ
Book of Mormon, Alma 34:8

8 And now, behold, I will testify unto you of myself that these things are true. Behold, I say unto you, that I do know that Christ shall come among the children of men, to take upon him the transgressions of his people, and that he shall atone for the sins of the world; for the Lord God hath spoken it.
To atone--to pay for, to reconcile, to make right.
Atonement--payment
Christ came into the world to take upon himself the sins and transgressions of all people, and to atone, to pay for, the sins of the world. According to the justice of the Father, when one sinned, there must be a punishment. In Gethsemane and on the cross, Jesus suffered the punishment  and paid the penalty for everyone’s sins. Our responsibility is to exercise faith in Christ, repent of our sins, and stop sinning.
Life is a constant process of repenting, being forgiven, and striving to cease sinning. “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me” (I Philippians 4:13). By the grace and power of Christ, we can do it.  Grace is divine assistance, heavenly help, divine intervention.
Jesus said, (Doctrine and Covenants 19:16-19)16 For behold, I, God, have suffered these things for all, that they might not suffer if they would repent;
17 But if they would not repent they must suffer even as I;
18 Which suffering caused myself, even God, the greatest of all, to tremble because of pain, and to bleed at every pore, and to suffer both body and spirit—and would that I might not drink the bitter cup, and shrink—
19 Nevertheless, glory be to the Father, and I partook and finished my preparations unto the children of men.
Therefore, come unto Christ and partake of His salvation.
