JESUS CHRIST APPEARS TO THE BROTHER OF JARED

17 And now, as I, Moroni, said I could not make a full account of these things which are written, therefore it sufficeth me to say that Jesus showed himself unto this man in the
spirit, even after the manner and in the likeness of the same body even as he showedhimself unto the Nephites.
18 And he ministered unto him even as he ministered unto the Nephites; and all this, that this man might know that he was God, because of the many great works which the Lord had showed unto him.
19 And because of the knowledge of this man he could not be kept from beholding within the veil; and he saw the finger of Jesus, which, when he saw, he fell with fear; for he knew that it was the finger of the Lord; and he had faith no longer, for he knew, nothing doubting.
20 Wherefore, having this perfect knowledge of God, he could notbe kept from within the veil; therefore he saw Jesus; and he did minister unto him.

JESUS CHRIST: THE CRUCIFIED

Knowledge of Jesus Christ is Utmost Important
jesus staff.jpgAnd I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God. For I determined not to know anything among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.
--1 Corinthians 2:1-2

Possessing a knowledge of Jesus Christ and of His life and mission are of utmost importance. Secular learning is necessary for survival here during our mortal reign on earth, but it is not at all as important as our testimonies of Christ and His true gospel. A man may learn forever and still now come to a knowledge of the truth of Christ and His gospel. This man is doomed for eternity unless he humbles himself and learns true doctrine, doctrine that matters most, doctrine of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Knowledge of a Savior

Doctrine and Covenants 3:16
Nevertheless, my work shall go forth, for inasmuch as the knowledge of a Savior has come unto the world, through the testimony of the Jews, even so shall the knowledge of a Savior come unto my people—
Knowledge. A knowledge of Jesus Christ, our Savior, comes through studying and by the power of the Holy Ghost. As people testify of Christ, the Holy Ghost can bear witness to individuals that Jesus is the Christ, the living Son of the living God. To know Him is to love Him. “While we are serving others, we find Christ.” (Harold Clyde). We should seek His face.  “Verily, thus saith the Lord: It shall come to pass that every soul who forsaketh his sins and cometh unto me, and calleth on my name, and obeyeth my voice, and keepeth my commandments, shall see my face and know that I am” (See D&C 93:1).
Seek Him and we shall find Him.
